The Child Protection and Family Services Agency conducts investigations upon request by overseas agencies requiring reports on:
- The circumstances of children left in Jamaica by their parents;
- The circumstances of children, in Jamaica, whose parents have appealed the decision of immigration officials not to grant visas for settlement;
- The circumstances of relatives being considered as suitable caregivers for children who are to be returned to Jamaica;
- Parents views regarding the children who are appearing in Court and for whom they have been subpoenaed; and
- Home Studies.
