A new Adoption Board has been formed, comprising nine members. Spearheaded by Chairman, Lynda Mair, the board members were selected by our Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Youth and information, Honourable AlandoTerrelonge.

The Minister recently met with the group to discuss plans to improve the adoption process. As customary, the members will serve on the Board for two consecutive years.

The Adoption Board is the only regulatory body that has responsibility for assessing adoption of children in Jamaica; while the CPFSA provides administrative support to the Board to facilitate the process.
